📖 Cerita (Story)

Greak: Memories of Azur bercerita tentang tiga bersaudara dari ras Courine Greak, Adara, dan Raydel—yang harus berjuang kabur dari tanah Azur yang lagi kacau karena serangan bangsa Urlag. 😨🔥

Cerita disampaikan lewat cutscene animasi hand-drawn yang cakep banget 🎨✨. Dialognya memang simpel dan nggak terlalu kompleks, tapi justru terasa cukup emosional. Fokus ceritanya lebih ke hubungan keluarga, kerja sama, persatuan, dan keberanian menghadapi situasi yang serba hancur.

Alurnya juga nggak langsung dijejelin semuanya di awal. Kita bakal pelan-pelan memahami dunia Azur lewat eksplorasi, ngobrol dengan NPC, dan menyelesaikan berbagai misi. Jadi, walaupun ceritanya sederhana, tetap punya momen yang bikin hati ikut tersentuh 🥹❤️.

🎮 Gameplay

Nah, bagian gameplay-nya ini yang paling menarik! Greak menggabungkan action platformer, puzzle, dan eksplorasi ala Metroidvania ringan. Jadi bukan cuma lari-lompat dan gebuk musuh, tapi kita juga harus mikir buat melewati berbagai rintangan 🧠⚔️.

Hal paling unik tentu aja sistem gonta-ganti karakter. Kita bisa mengontrol tiga bersaudara yang masing-masing punya kemampuan berbeda:

• 🏃 Greak — lincah, gesit, dan punya serangan cepat.

• ✨ Adara — bisa menggunakan sihir dan melayang di udara.

• 🛡️ Raydel — kuat secara fisik dan punya perisai buat bertahan.

Yang bikin seru, beberapa puzzle mengharuskan kita menggunakan dua bahkan tiga karakter sekaligus. Jadi harus pintar-pintar mengatur posisi dan kemampuan masing-masing karakter. 😵‍💫

Tapi, sistem ini juga kadang bikin agak ribet, terutama pas lagi battle cepat. Mengontrol beberapa karakter sekaligus bisa bikin jari dan otak kerja lembur 😂. Butuh sedikit adaptasi supaya nggak malah berantakan sendiri.

🕹️ Genre

Greak masuk ke genre action-adventure dengan platforming dan elemen Metroidvania ringan.

Fokus utamanya ada di eksplorasi dunia semi-terbuka, membuka area baru menggunakan kemampuan yang didapat sepanjang perjalanan, serta pertarungan yang membutuhkan kerja sama antar karakter.

Jadi kalau kalian suka game yang isinya eksplorasi + puzzle + platforming + teamwork, konsep Greak lumayan menarik buat dicoba 👀🎮.

🗺️ Desain Level

Desain level Greak terasa cukup rapi dan terstruktur, tapi tetap punya kesan natural. Setiap area punya tampilan visual yang berbeda dan dihiasi berbagai macam rintangan platforming serta puzzle yang lumayan bikin mikir 🤔.

Eksplorasi juga nggak sekadar jalan dari A ke B. Ada banyak jalur tersembunyi dan rahasia yang bisa ditemukan kalau kita rajin ngubek-ngubek map 🔍✨.

Puzzle-nya kebanyakan mengandalkan kerja sama antar karakter. Misalnya, satu karakter harus mengaktifkan tuas sementara karakter lain membuka jalan di tempat berbeda. Sederhana, tapi cukup satisfying ketika akhirnya berhasil 😎👌.

Sayangnya, ada satu hal yang agak bikin capek: nggak adanya fitur fast travel. Jadi kalau harus balik ke area sebelumnya, kita mesti jalan kaki lagi. Kalau jaraknya jauh, siap-siap olahraga jempol 😂💀.

🎨 Grafis & Audio

Kalau ngomongin visual, ini salah satu bagian yang paling cakep parah dari Greak! 🤩🎨

Grafis 2D-nya dibuat dengan gaya hand-drawn, sehingga setiap karakter, background, dan animasinya terlihat seperti lukisan yang hidup. Detailnya juga keren dan punya identitas visual yang kuat.

Cutscene-nya pun dibuat dalam bentuk animasi sinematik yang indah banget. Visualnya berhasil membantu menyampaikan emosi cerita tanpa harus terlalu banyak dialog 🥹✨.

Untuk audio, musik orkestranya juga cocok banget dengan suasana game. Saat eksplorasi, musiknya terasa lembut dan adem 🎵🌿. Begitu masuk pertarungan, nuansanya berubah jadi lebih dramatis dan intens ⚔️🔥.

Gabungan visual dan musiknya bikin atmosfer game terasa imersif dan memorable.

😈 Tingkat Kesulitan

Soal difficulty, Greak bisa dibilang menantang tapi masih cukup fair. Nggak sampai bikin controller pengen dilempar, tapi ada beberapa bagian yang bisa bikin kita ngomel sendiri 😂.

Tantangannya datang dari beberapa hal:

• 🎮 Mengontrol beberapa karakter sekaligus bisa cukup membingungkan.

This is a platformer game that emphasizes PiwDiePie's ridiculous narrative as he rescues all of Pewds' fans who have been kidnapped by the Barrels. The game's narrative is deliberately kept as silly as possible without sacrificing the typical platformer challenge, which can be challenging but still enjoyable.

The overworld map presented in this game is quite impressive for a mobile game. As if inspired by the presentation style of Super Mario World, Outermaind Studio packaged all the game's levels into an overworld map with beautiful and charming pixel graphics. Each stage also features a varied environment, ranging from an adventure in PiwDiePie's house, to a forest, to the polar regions.

This game features several collectibles in the form of achievements and cloth paths that players can collect throughout each level. Metal Slug 4 retains the series' signature run-and-gun gameplay, where you must shoot enemies coming from all directions while dodging attacks and collecting various power-ups. The game remains exciting, with fast-paced and intense action and a variety of signature weapons like the Heavy Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher, and Flame Shot. One new feature is the Combo Score system, where you can get a higher score by killing enemies consecutively in a short period of time. This adds a strategic element for players looking to achieve a high score.

However, compared to its predecessor, there aren't many innovations in gameplay. While still enjoyable, Metal Slug 4 feels more like an expansion of the previous game than a major evolution.

Story

The story remains quite simple and cliché, like the previous game. This time, the rebel forces aren't the main threat, but rather a terrorist organization called "Amadeus." They are developing a computer virus that can attack the world's systems. You'll play as Marco, Fio, and two new characters, Trevor and Nadia, on a mission to stop this evil plan.

Compared to Metal Slug 3, which had a more engaging story with alien and zombie themes, Metal Slug 4's story feels less prominent. However, since the series focuses more on action than deep narrative, this isn't a major issue.

Graphics

As a NEOGEO game, Metal Slug 4 still uses 2D sprites with detailed animations and stunning explosion effects. Unfortunately, some enemy sprites and level assets feel recycled from previous installments, making them feel less fresh.

However, the visual effects of weapons and explosions still leave a satisfying impression. There are also some new enemy designs, but they aren't as iconic as those found in Metal Slug 3.

Level Design

The levels in Metal Slug 4 are quite varied, ranging from ruined cities to factories and laboratories. However, compared to Metal Slug 3, which had many branching routes within its levels, the level design here feels more linear and less exploratory.

Some moments still present challenges with large enemy numbers and epic boss battles. However, the lack of innovation in level design makes it feel more ordinary compared to previous games.
